Taking the Late Spring Garden Path

First to see, the Ballerina,

then on passed the blooming Hawthorn and Strawberries,

through the Rose arch,

to admire the Rose wall,

and the Potatos

to find the Poppies.

Through an open gate,

to the right, a wild patch with blooming Foxglove, proper wild ones too.

To the left, a more formal display

As for indoors, there is the Streptocarpus, or if you prefer, Polka Dot Purple

Ystrad Mynach Quilters.

The quilters delayed biennial exhibtion, hosted by the Llancaiach Fawr Tudor Manor House near Nelson.

On display the work of the groups nine members.

Including those of Janet who is sadly no longer with us

Not always so serious.

Gek had her own stand to demonstrate Somerset Patchwork to the visitors

Whilst I lent a hand manning a stall for a time

And here they are, the Ystrad Mynach gang.

Games Room Complete

The dart board and chess table make up the rest of the games, with appropiate wall hangings for the players.

Mackintosh Hillhouse Bedroom Roombox

The real thing

Box and room.

In  the sunlight,

in the lamp light.

Just to make sure the bed is a good fit.

Painted delivered. The two ladies are a little over sized, though.

Only a cafe shot this day, our 16th anniversary together.

Darren Park for Lunch and Stroll.

The cafe with bespoke hard wood furniture.

Lasania for me, corn beef pie for Gek.  Chips a must have.

Walk by the lake, passing fake coots.

But for real mum with her little ones.

Winter storm damage with younger trees blown over.

Curious sheep.

1st May, First Rain in Three Weeks

Love the way the bark changes colour between wet,

and dry, a different landscape to enjoy.

First rose on the wall.

One little tulip not so happy.

Unlike my little flower.  So happy to see the rain.
