Penarth Down Hill Derby Event

 Early morning Esplanade

with the fooderies getting ready for the crowds  to arrive.

The woolly looking out for them too.

A couple of hours later

Mayhem!

Spot the down-hill racer?

Sadly the event had to be cancelled after an injured racer had to be air lifted to hospital by a helicopter landing on the beach.  Reports say he was not seriously hurt. His pride for definite.

Backpackering 3 - Salisbury

Our last 'port of call' on this 3rd Backpackering experience.

A visit to the 18th century NT Mompesson House.  Well worth the time spent there.

The NT acquired the house empty, furnishing it with Georgian period furniture from its national collection.

American Queen  Anne furniture designs were based on earlier Georgian ones. I fance having a crack at making a miniature copy of this dumbwaiter. Let's see how.
