This time, south to the coast at St Brides, between Cardiff and Newport.  The long view towards Penarth. Great that the tide was right out, making for more interesting images.

Highboy - The Beginning to End, 20 days

Four legs completed, bar the cropping and front apron and black panel profiled.

delivered to the client together with Rhode Island Easy chair, candle table and dressing table mirror. Those legs are very, very fragile.

Second Escape off Campus

A drive up our valley, the Rhymney, and back across the Gelligear common for a view of Somerset across the Bristol Channel, some 30+ miles away.

 Or are you calling me?  Loads of sheep, mostly shorn.

 Pony and fowl.

 Very friendly.  In expectation of a treat no doubt.

Garden Upgrade.

There has been a nation wide shortage of decorative bark, as evidenced by stock-outs from the usual suppliers and the fresh 'needles' in our 1 meter cube of pine chips delivered a couple of days ago. Two hours after arriving on site, job done with our team work.  We can now imagine ourselves sitting in a pine forest whilst taking our lunch, the  pine scent is so strong.

And, a much awaited garden box, to make for a tidier veggie garden.

Rhode Island Easy Chair - Embroidery

 has an embroidery sewn on to the back.

As a nod to the artist of 250 years ago, Gek has made a panel to fit the miniature model. Really need to get a handle on this upholstery lark.

Espresso Maker Arrives

On the maple tree, webs drenched by the mist. Amazingly, the web still hangs in tact. Very tough thread.

A special day, today. The first time we have left our home for 9 weeks. But first, a bit of cropping to do.

 Then a drive up the valley to Cwm Darren Park.

 Great open space,

 with a drone in the sky.

The mobile mannequin.

 The lillied lake.

 One of, if not the only, building left from the time that this whole area was a pit head. The builder was clearly an arty type.

 Nature art to enjoy,

before tripping back to the car, looking for wild flowers for the gardens wild patch.

Lawn Art

A lock down idea, create a profile in the grass, defined  by it's differing colours.  Over the winter months, the magpies broke though the new turfs clay skin searching for worms, allowing more water to reach the grasses roots, hence the dark green blotches. So, perhaps, and this is a big perhaps, we could use this approach to create a image in the grass.

Has to be a dragon, a Welsh Dragon. Making loads of holes to mimic the magpies, then spreading lawn feed followed by watering water every day during this dry spell. Nuts, I know.  Will it work?  Hmmm.  Only time will tell.

Well, after 9 days, a sort of whisper of a Dragon, with a little help from the image enhancer!!!

Walk the Path

 Through the flower garden,

 by the fruit. No apples this year but strawberries looking good. Lots of hawthorn berries too.

On to the veggie.
