Backpackering 12 - Day 9

After Flixbusing it back to Geneva, trams being then our means to get around.

First to Ariana Park, the second home of the UN, the first being in New York, to revisit

the Globe. 1 - 1967 with Jenny

2 - 1986 with Polly and Anna

Web Photo.

3 - 2026 with Gek?

Oh dear, no access. For security reasons, only can see by conducted tour booked the day before. Guess humans are still not united then.

Ok then, stroll on in the heat to have a look at the Ariana Museum, housing the late 19th century Gustave Revilliod's collection  of glass and ceramic art. He designed the building to house them, a work of art in its self.

Now, I had to come here. The Red Cross and Red  Cresent HQ, being a RC retail volunteer in Penarth

Basically,  it is the responsibility of all of us to look after one another.

Example of Art used to help a refugee with PTSD.

The basement is open to see records and listen to the stories of people suffering from the consequences of war and natural disasters.

On a much, much lighter note, who on earth drove a 50s bus from Scotland, parked by the railway station and left it there? And why?
