 A drive across the moor

 from Tredegar to the Usk Valley.

To visit the canal at Talybont, last seen in 2016.

Short stroll before

lunch at the Post Office Cafe.

Then up the Talybont Reservoir Valley

over the top to the Pontsticill Reservoir. Full to over flowing following Dudley, Eunice and Franclin's recent efforts.

The Old and the New

The Grandad Wilson's  lathe, used by me some 65 years ago, recently refurbished at a local machine shop.

And today, another mini machine by  Proxxon.  Same principle, from different eras.

After a short walk in a bracing wind along the canal

back to Penelopes Cafe for lunch.  This chap, despite appearances is not the order taker.

A good start to finding the last colours of autmn. 

A lower midday sun gave us a shadowy.

A bare corridor,

led to more colours.

Low sun not so helpfull on the way back.

After losing our way to The Knap,

a lovely cafe to find,

and a view of where we were intending, to go across the bay.

Binding Gek's Book - A Road Less Travelled

 

After printing and folding each chapter in booklet mode, piece holes in each 'signature' using a template.

Next,  with the text block in the press, cover the spine with PVA glue, twice. Leave over night to set. Then add mounting pages and the bookmark, return to the press.

Re-enforce the spine with paper sheet and add headbands

Add the case and press till glue dry.
