Newark Park

Our visit to the park coincided with a classic car show.  Morgans and

the Fiat 500 gotten most opf our attention, of course.

The lady owner of the Fiat very graciously let the lads have a mock drive.

But enough of cars.  Lets go rolli polli down the hill.

Well it was a rather warm day, bless 'em.

Night Fire over the Severn Valley.

Friday, July 19, 2013

Out and about with Isaac.

Balloon spotting,

Plane spotting,

and clowning.

But ice cream eating is a serious business.

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Isaac to stay.

 Fox cub spotting,

 rabbit stalking,

and a picnic on their turf.

Lydney

On the Severn about half way to the open channel south from Gloucester.

Used to be a thriving coal port, but no more. Last commercial ship left these docks in the 1960's

The distant Severn Bridges, both of them in a confusion of wires.

Stinchcombe

A wonderful place to spend a month of a glorious English Summer

Mega comfy.

Just my style.  Another roast dinner.

Upton upon Severn

Picture of a boat going under a bridge.  I know, not ever imaginative but included here as a bit of nostalgia.  In the 1970's we had a small cabin cruiser with which we visited Upton via the river, tying up at steps below the pub.  Good memories.

Sculpture in Wakefield

The new Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield.   Many of Barbara's  beautiful works inside.  Recommend you visit if you are ever in Wakefield.

The nearby sculpture park, I didn't find as inspiring. But still well worth a detour to visit.

The folks up North

Granville, my uncle.  He is so wired.  Computers everywhere.

Diane and Lynn, my cousins.

David Watson, Gek's and Jenny's ex-colleague from Ngee Ann days in Singapore.

Mark and Eric,  from uni days.  We were meeting here for the first time in 45 years.

Photographers - the next generation.

Noah, my seven year grandson.  Gek and I together with Noah visited an open air sculpture exhibition.  I gave the Canon to Noah and let him loose  to go shooting on his own. He was gone for an hour.  And his first time with the camera gave promise of an up and coming talent.  I know I am very biased, but I think the boy done real good.

Noah's very first photo.

Oft' times, an intersting photograph happens by happy accident.

And sometimes because of a good eye.

If you would like to see more of Noah's very first outing with a camera, follow

where I have started  a web presence for the lads.  I's proud of my boy.
