The Lads Stay.

Our third day together was spent building a survival shelter in the Aberbargoed woods.  Day two had been down in Cardiff at a story telling session run by Cardiff Museum.  Of course we visited the Blue Lady.

Day four, Dan yr Ogof caves and dinosaur park, over 200 life size beauties, much to the delight of young Isaac. I made the mistake of mistaking a tail for a head. Grandads can be daft sometimes.

 A follow up colouring session.

Day five at Cyfarthfa Castle, Merthyr T.

 The actor and the thinker.

 Ride the train,

Provide the power for three little girls to enjoy a twirl.

Dinner before departure.

St. David's

The Cathedral.

A cliff top walk to the head,

 where our Mary-Ann and Alice,

  took in the scene.

Gek and I sat aside the path and greeted passers by. It is a parasol. Not many passers by bought that though.  Or perhaps it was the waist coat and tie that got the smiles?

On the walk back to the van.

Strumble Head

Let the images speak for themselves.

On the way to Ceredigion.

The Devil's Kitchen and Llyn Idwal

Taking on fuel whilst sheltering from the drizzling rain before our ascent.

Look back down Nant Ffrancon.

First thing to do at the lake?  Why, take a selfie, of course.

Now the lakes turn.

Porthmadog

An evening walk to catch the magic of the setting sun light.

Mountain tops clear of clouds being a bonus.

Caernarfon and the North Coast

The daddy castle,

opposite the baby castle.

To escape the crowds we motored up the coast to Penmaenmawr.

Cwm Bychan

A trip up into the hills,

for lunch by the lake.

All blue.

Two restless souls took a hike up the hill.

Porthmadoc

New holiday homes on harbour, not there on my last visit some 20 years ago.

The views are still as arresting.

Not Snowdon but a close relative.

The Drive North - Builth Wells

The River Wye at B W,  our lunch stop.

 Nice place for a picnic.

Or wait for a bus.  Echoes of Penang street art.

On the road again.  A photo opportunity stop.
