Singapore Gatherings

The first of three gatherings with Gek's brother, aunty, sisters, niece and nephew. Oh and young grand nephew, Vettel. 

  With Gek's university friends, Kok Wan and co for an evening in.

With Yvonne and her eldest son, at a wedding lunch for Sock Hoon's niece and her new husband.

With my new friend Schumacher, Gek's grand nephew to whom I am Uncle David, at Pungoul Point End.  Whilst the rest of the assembled family enjoyed a seafood lunch and a chat, Schmacher and I engaged in a competitive game on his I phone.  I was just about getting the hang of it by the time we had to part.

Exhibition Opening

and so it begins, with MC Anne introducing the artist and the GOH, Baey Yam Keng

 to the assembled friends.

followed by a tour of the art work.

Set Up Completed

Singapore National Gallery

On the way to view art, an arty piece,

not to mention the beached boat

in front of the  Victoria Hall.  Listened to concerts here in the early 1980's.

 OK, into the new Nat Gal housed in reworked City Hall built in 1929.

 The gallery also extended into the 1937 Supreme Court.  Here the library.

The old corridors of power are very impressive, worth a visit on their own.

Right, art.  Wu Guan Zhong the man's work I came to see. New to me, Lim Cheng Hoe's art also impressed.

Bumped Up.

Very unexpected pleasure, Club World on BA on the return leg to Singapore.
