With the return of the exhibition quilting efforts,

 the den has been hung.

Not forgetting the miniatures.

Is a Job Ever Completed?

 I guess so, when you have hung the art on the walls,

and found that interesting plant a permanent home. Sorted.

Ystrad Mynach Quilters Exhibition.

A chance to display of the groups  work over the last two years. The money raised during in the event is destined for the Air Ambulance.

And lastly, the Gek's Challenge. With wool that Gek brought back from our Autumn visit to Singapore, the Quilters innovated from Teddy Bear Scarf to Cup Cozy.

I Promised Myself a Rose Garden

Well, a rose wall, but it will be a few years, may be many, before the 9 plants fill these walls with colour.

This years first to show.

Ten days later. Eventually the lower part of the wall will be red roses.  With the flowering geraniums covering the grown and the roses the wall, this has become major attraction for bees and wasps, always a-buzzzzz as you walk past.

Now to Assemble.

Enough for 7 chairs, hopefully. That is, 15 separate pieces make up one chair.  Been a bit of a tester this one.

And Last, but by No Means Least, Blenheim Palace.

T'was just a tad on the damp side.

 But caught the sun for a couple minutes as it lighted up the new leaves in the formal garden

The place interior is extremely ornate. Here,  Anne, the queen who was on the throne when the UK union was formed in 1707.

Next, Upton House

The reason for our trip to England, now a foreign country to us, was to meet up with other contributors to Upton's miniature house project,

 and at the same time meet the project coordinator, Ellen, to hand over Gek's miniatures of three of the houses oil paintings.

After convivial chats with those assembled, we took a gander at the model and the progress made on furnishing it.

A Couple of Days Away

First to Croome Court. Building started in 1754 to a Palladian design by Capability Brown.

Having had a bit of a rough time in the 20th century, the house is practically devoid of furnishings and is in the main home to temporary exhibitions.

The park is lovely with views of the Malvern hills across the fields of rape.
