After printing and folding each chapter in booklet mode, piece holes in each 'signature' using a template.

Next,  with the text block in the press, cover the spine with PVA glue, twice. Leave over night to set. Then add mounting pages and the bookmark, return to the press.

Re-enforce the spine with paper sheet and add headbands

Add the case and press till glue dry.

Mackintosh Exhibition

 

Following a visit to Glasgow a couple of years ago, we caught the Mackintosh bug.  Not only the art of his and Margrets but also the furniture he designed for his various clients.  This selection of miniatures are mainly of pieces made for the Willows Tearooms which first opened in 1903.

After a short walk along the cliff path, lunch at the Penarth Cliff Top Cafe again. Well it is my birthday. 

A new place to visit 5 mins drive away, Cosmeston Lakes Country Park.

Lakes that were once quarries, another industry legacy.

This little chap was not at all phased by humans getting so close.
