The best way to get around the city has to be the trams, here to St-Andre's Cathedral,
followed by another to have lunch
before taking a walk to the Jardin Public.
Established in 1755 it was laid out in the English style a century later, including a duck pond.
Not at all sure what was going on here, but was in tune with the surrounding architecture.
From rails to water, a river cruise.
Ready to go
towards the threatening clouds
under the vertical lift bridge, Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas. Opened in 2013, the centre section is lifted using counter wieghts in the two columns. A neat engineered trick.
Now what is this? An exhibition venue. I will leave you to Google what the architecture is meant to convey. Lost on me.
