Xanadu Art Gallery Refurbished.

Xanadu Art Gallery hosted our ‘Fusion’ exhibition back in April this year. The quotation on the painting is from Coleridge’s
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
Jargalan ,the gallery owner on the left, is pictured here with her younger sister.l

Since April, Jargalan has refurbished the gallery space and included a café/wine bar. All very tastefully done. The predominantly black and white décor sets the wall hangings a treat.

Turn around and the gallery is transformed. The title of the opening was ‘Cocktails and Color’. Artists who had exhibited at the gallery were asked to contribute a painting inspired by a cocktail.

Botu is the artist pictured here with her painting inspired by the cocktail ‘Venetian Lagoon’. Hummmm. You may recognise her. She has appeared in at least one previous blog as ‘Gallery Girl’.

Gek suggested that I could do a blog on the fancy shoes worn by the assembled guests. Got sort of distracted from the assignment!!!! What shoes?

To balance the blog, one of the many artists attending the opening was still working capturing scenes with rapid sketches. Cracking job Jargalan. Congratulations.
