Kuala Kangsar, a Royal Town.

The Sultan had  this 'temporary' residence built whilst they were working on his permanent home.  Nice,  yes. Reputedly built with out using metal nails and without detailed plans.  Show a carpenter a sketch and he will make you a house.  I would have been sceptical of this approach to building but I have seen it in action in Mongolia.  In one instance,  the client clipped a photograph of a home he liked the look of from a western magazine and asked a builder to reproduce a look-a-like in the UB suburbs.
The Sultan also built a pretty mean mosque.  But with plans this time!!!!
