A Morgan in Mongolia!

How often have I seen this scene repeated? Two men standing staring into the innards of a Morgan. Warms the cockles of your heart it does. The two guys this time are,

father and son, passing through Ulaanbaatar on their way to Paris from Beijing. Of course!!!!! Silly of me to ask.

And, just like any day out with the Staffordshire MSCC Centre, you have the obligatory self-service, mobile spares store. Little problem encountered whilst crossing the Gobi, hummmmm? The lower radiator mounting bracket snapped in two, did it?. No problem.

But I’ll tell you what, there was much less working going on in the Morgan pit stop garage than in most of the other competitors’!!!!

In case you are wondering, a 1953 Flat Rad +4. Sounded fabulous. Absolutely gorgeous looking!!!
